Community Research & Development Organization
CRDO envisions a just society, where every individual has a minimum living standard with access to food, shelter, health, education, justice and to lead a life of dignity and honour without discrimination on the basis of creed, race, ethnicity, language, gender and nationality.
To promote effective partnership among all stakeholders including organizations, individuals, communities through dialogues, exchange of views, resource & experience-sharing to build common perspective for eradication of poverty and human sufferings. To achieve this, CRDO incorporates robust research components into its interventions for evidence-based decision making in identifying best practices and effective program implementation.
- Development of framework of SDGs
- Need Assessment for response plan for the drought affected communities of Balochistan and sindh with the support of UN Agencies, International Organizations, NDMA and PDMAs.
- Working in close coordination with community services program (Social Welfare Department, Environment Department, Education Department, Climate Center, University of Peshawar.
- Provision of mobility aids( assistive devices) psycho social support , physiotherapy services, primary medical care, addressing malnutrition , eye care (cataracts) accessible infrastructure, livelihood support for person with disabilities widows, orphans and senior citizens, provision of missing infrastructure facilities at basic health units.
CRDOis registered with the Economic Affairs Division Government of Pakistan. CRDO have special consultative status with UN ECOSOC (economic and social council).
CRDO-Pakistan (Community Research and Development Organization, Pakistan) is a multi-sectoral, non-governmental organization (non profitable/non-political/non-religious), established & registered in June 2007 under Social Welfare Ordinance 1961 (XLVI 1961) and in December 2009 under the Societies Act, XXI 1860. The core focus of CRDO is to develop a synergy of highly qualified and motivated professionals towards translating the miseries of marginalized and vulnerable communities into prosperity and improved living standards. In its programs, CRDO strives to incorporate cross-cutting themes of gender equity, governance, and sustainability.
CRDO accomplished a progressive growth within a short span extending across various development sectors and enhanced geographical coverage and made it an ever extending CRDO network. All objective interventions and sustainable social change have been achieved through concerted endeavors across all forms of human development including education, health, economic uplift, community development, humanitarian and emergency response programs (ERPs).
